Don’t Miss Saturday Classes This Summer!

We have an amazing Saturday class schedule this summer — with something for everyone. All of our Saturday classes are drop-in classes so you can start any time. And yes — we have air conditioning! So even when it is hot outside it is nice and cool at the studio. Perfect for dancing!

9:45-10:45 a.m. – Ballet Stretch and Strengthen

No ballet experience needed! This awesome work-out class is low impact, but uses bodyweight exercises like planks, sit-ups, lunges and push-ups to strengthen all parts of the body. We also take time to stretch and work on flexibility. It is a great class for anyone to try!

11:00-12:00 p.m. – BeMoved (c)

This amazing class is a movement experience for all levels. It is a no-impact, follow along dance fitness class aimed at using the joy of dance to get you moving and grooving! 12:15-1:15 p.m. Beginning Musical Theater

Ever want to feel like you are in a Broadway show? Or just want to spend an hour learning a fun dance? In this fun class for all levels you will learn original choreography to musical theater songs. No dance experience is needed — just come ready to learn and have fun! Check out a video from one of our recent classes here:

1:30-3:00 p.m. Beginning Ballet

If you have some ballet experience — even if it was a long time ago! — but are still at a beginning level, or if you are a more experienced student who would just like to concentrate on the basics, this class is for you. The class starts out at the barre and then moves on to center work, focusing on learning beginning ballet technique. Taught by the amazing Kristi Licera, it is a great class for working on balance, posture and flexibility.

3:15-4:45 p.m. Intermediate Lyrical Jazz with Clayton Cross

Former River North company member and noted choreographer Clayton Cross teaches this high-energy class focusing on lyrical jazz dance technique. This is an Intermediate level class so it is best for dancers with some dance experience. Clayton’s energy is infection — you will love this class! Check out this class video:
